One of the learning objective that all student should have ability to use and apply it in real situation is about DATA LOGGER.
 we are introduced to data logger by our instructor: miss Azuita Zoolkifle and more detail about it was explained by our lecturer: Prof Dr Sopia Bt Md Yasin

data Logger actually :
> It is also known as data recorder:- is an electronic device that records data over time. Then, the readings are transferred to the computer.
> They are based on digital processor. Generally they are small, battery powered, portable, and equipped with a microprocessor, internal memory for data storage, and sensors.

What are advantages use it?
> Data loggers vary between general purpose types for a range of measurement applications to very specific devices for measuring in one environment or application type only
 
> Has an ability to automatically collect data on a 24-hour
 
> New innovative experiment possible
 
> Greater experience in practical work- the insulating properties of material
 
> Better understanding on how it works.

Assalamualaikum my friends...this entry is about my reflections on simulations and modelling..

Bliss et al. (1992) said that simulation is the exploration of existing models. Modelling is the expression of one's ideas by constructing one's own models.

Simulation and modelling are both vital to enhance better understanding of students. It is due to the fact that not every students are not good enough in visualizing every processes that explained by the teachers. So, the best solution is create a medium to transform that abstract process into something concrete. Sincerely speaking, if it had not been for simulation, me myself, who is teacher to be, fail to understand and explain the process while science subject do involve many processes. Luckily during my time simulation has been widely used. In addition, simulation also assist teachers to demonstrate dangerous experiments, and life processes that are too lengthy for example human fetal development. Students can gain their understanding and develop their knowledge.

Modelling, on the other hand, more to enable students exploring the effects on systems when they change certain variables. Thus, students will be actively learned when they try to find out something by discovering for themselves. Learning will be more meaningful. At the same time, this activity is actually developing the cognitive, psychomotor and affective skills of students.

Based on the contributions of simulation and modelling, I personally think that teachers should look forward in utilizing this kind of technology for students' own good. Coursewares that have been supplied to every school should not be wasted.

Another task we have to do is creating this blog..what is your opinion about my blog? this blog is not complete yet because this blog must be updated throughout this semester. Frankly speaking, I have learnt to do blog before, and I have my own blog..^___^ 

 but for this e-portfolio, I learnt a few new things..such as how to upload file using scribd and how to make links for the post according to each sections. Blogging is exciting but it need a lot of time to do it..hopefully i will do well in blogging and manage to have a great blog!

I believed that everyone is able to strive for success in their academic performance. In order to realise that, I should try my best to promote growth by employing creativity, stressing the importance of education as well as giving my students the freedom to think and discover knowledge. Moreover, I also appreciate that each different individual is unique therefore any ideas, opinions, criticisms and suggestions from them should be taken into consideration. These aspects are essential towards planning and developing more comprehensive lessons that will benefit everyone in the long run. Hence, my student is encouraged to value effort and the determination to succeed.

IWB : Interactive White Board

      In the first week, i have been intoduced to Smart Board.
Our instructor, Miss Azuita has taught us to use it. Actually, once I have heard about the smart board but I have never had an opportunity to use it.


      In this ict class, I have learn to use the smart board and the activity is known as "Interactive White Board ". short name is IWB.I felt quite excited to learn it. I believed that my friends also felt the same. 
      For further understanding, I go and find about it with Mr Google. An interactive whiteboard (IWB), is a large interactive display that connects to a computer and projector. A projector projects the computer's desktop onto the board's surface where users control the computer using a pen, finger, stylus or other device. The board is typically mounted to a wall or floor stand.

       First time I use this IWB , I felt it was so confusing and difficult. but as time passes, i manage to do it although not perfect. Now I still try to learn to use this IWB efficiently with the help from my friends. hopefully, I can use IWB successfully...^____^
